My Vision

The elected position of Sheriff is the chief law enforcement officer
for the parish. The Sheriff serves at the discretion of the citizens of LaSalle
Parish. I feel like, for the most part, the people of LaSalle Parish have the
same vision. The people want a safe, secure, and clean parish to live, work
and raise their families. To accomplish these goals, the following
has to be achieved:

• Protect the safety of our children by combating sexual predators in this
  parish with the most aggressive, proactive tactics, using undercover and
  cyber strategies to identify, arrest and prosecute these offenders.
• Proactively and aggressively pursue the distributors of narcotics in this
  parish, as well as surrounding parishes, by forming a multi-jurisdictional
  narcotics task force including all municipality police departments of the
  parish and surrounding sheriff’s offices.
• Work with the parish government to cut costs and assist with parish clean
  up, including multiple garbage pickup crews on the side of the roads.
  Seek state and federal contracts to keep State and U.S. Highways mowed
  and bush-hogged. With the offset of expense by these contracts, inmate
  crews can assist with parish road mowing and bush-hogging.
• Strong community policing. Patrol in rural areas. Elderly checks. No one
  knows more or has more information than the residents of an area.
• Work with the LaSalle Parish School Board to establish school resource
  deputies in LaSalle Parish Schools. Establish security plans for all LaSalle
  Parish Schools.
