About Brian Andrews
My Story
I am Brian Andrews, and I am a lifelong resident of LaSalle Parish. I’m married to Roxana Andrews, and we have a three-year-old son, Austin Andrews. We are members of Trinity Baptist Church. I currently serve as LaSalle Parish Ward 4 Police Juror and on the finance committee.
I graduated from Northwestern State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. I have 14 years of law enforcement experience, including graduating from the Louisiana POST Police Officer Training Academy, Louisiana Probation and Parole, United States Marshals Service, LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Criminal Investigations, and LaSalle Correctional Center as Chief of Security. I currently own and operate LaSalle Investigations, Inc., a licensed insurance fraud investigation company serving Louisiana and Mississippi.
I believe the people of LaSalle Parish are like-minded and that we all want a safe, secure, and clean place to raise our families, work, or own a business. The challenge arises in achieving this. While most politicians promise to change the world, I’m not going to do so. What I will tell you is that I am invested in this community, and I have a three-year-old son that I want to see raised in a safe, secure, and clean parish. I promise you there is no one that will work harder to see this come to reality.
I look forward to personally visiting the citizens of this parish over the next six months. I will be sharing my vision and the practices I plan on using as your next Sheriff of LaSalle Parish to accomplish these goals. I will explain how we will combat the distributors of narcotics in this parish, as well as surrounding parishes that supply narcotics to this area. I will share how we will aggressively pursue the ones that prey on our youth and other sexual predators and my plans for securing the schools of this parish with officers and safety plans. I will explain how we will seek state and federal contracts, and use inmate crews, to keep our roadways clean and mowed. I will discuss how strong community policing will grow stronger relationships between the citizens of LaSalle Parish and the Sheriff’s Office.
No one knows their community like the residents of that area. We will capitalize on this by not only strengthening the patrol of our rural areas but communicating and listening to the concerns of the citizens in those areas.
I believe that a strong Sheriff’s Office can combat crime and safety, but to see a true change in people, it takes a relationship with Jesus Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit inside a person. I believe there is only one salvation, and that is through what Jesus Christ accomplished on the cross of Calvary. We will work closely with our local churches in this community to assist with the problems we face.
The Sheriff serves at the discretion of the citizens of this parish. I will not forget this.
